Here’s where you can find links to projects I’ve contributed to and bands I’ve played with, outside of my own band/songwriter/improv project and my chamber/instrumental/ new music work. Maybe I played guitar in the band, maybe I task mastered rehearsals for years, maybe I laid down some bass for a recording or two.
Diana Gordon
I played guitar for Diana Gordon (aka Wynter Gordon) for a few months in the Summer and Fall of 2016. Here’s our performance on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, with my brothers Miles Spillane on drums and Josh Rouah on bass.
King Holiday
King Holiday is a ten-piece astrosoul band fronted by my longtime friend and collaborator Leslie Kujo. We haven’t formally played a gig since August 2017 when Les and I played at the KigaliUP festival in Rwanda and Les decided to stay put in the motherland. But expect some new releases coming this summer 2020!

Here’s a song from one of our shows at the Roundhouse in London, during our mini-UK tour opening up for Paloma Faith.
e.t. drone home by samertime
I contributed some guitar to Samer Ghadry’s gorgeous drone-laden meditation, e.t. drone home.

EL TOPO
El Topo has been on extended hiatus for some years now and will probably continue to be so indefinitely. But it’s still close to my heart.

Dave Harrington Group – Become Alive
In December 2015, Dave Harrington got together a whole bunch of friends at Redbull Studios. We played some El Topo tunes and improvised some 20 hours of music in various configurations. Dave took all that and alchemied together what would be the first DH group record. Yours truly on bass for a track or two.
Thunder and Lightning – Disgust
I played guitar in ex-Harlem Shakes drummer Brent Katz’s Thunder and Lightning. I also recorded some guitar and scribbled a few riffs for the second Thunder and Lightning album, Disgust.
